Hi, I’m Dana!

I grew up in Hampton Roads, Virginia, but I now live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Go Birds!). I graduated from Tabb High School, then attended Christopher Newport University for my undergraduate degree in psychology. After, I earned my master's degree in school counseling from the College of William & Mary.

That led to me being a high school counselor in Chesapeake, Virginia, for three years. While there, I advised hundreds of students on their academic, career, and college goals. While I loved being a school counselor, I enrolled full time in a doctorate program at Virginia Commonwealth University, eventually earning my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision.

I am currently an assistant professor for a private university in Pennsylvania, where I teach master's school counseling students. This allows me to be engaged in both K-12 public education and higher education, through supervising the students who work in local schools, and also through volunteering with K-12 students in the greater Philadelphia area. My passion for learning about an individual's dreams and helping them achieve their goals is why I joined the Endeavor Advising team!

My husband and I welcomed a baby girl in 2025, and she's now joining us on our traveling adventures. When not working or traveling, I enjoy running, cycling, golfing, reading, and trying every restaurant the city has to offer.
